Medical Transcription Service was founded in 1982 in the days when dictation was done on Dictabelts and audio cassettes and transcription was done on electric typewriters. We saw the development of phone-in dictation and eventually digital voice dictation systems and the move to transcription on word processors.
Medical record documentation has come a long way with the use of hand-held digital recording, voice recognition, and internet and VPN applications for both dictation and transcription. With the requirement for an EMR, things have changed even more.
We know that physicians and other healthcare providers require accurate and timely chart documentation in the format they need, and our highly trained and knowledgeable staff has been providing top-quality transcription for over 35 years. Our transcription has always and will always be done in the United States.
We also know that with the onset of the EMR, physicians themselves have been given some of the clerical duties of entering and editing data, forcing them to see fewer patients.
Our solutions put the clerical work back where it belongs—with trained professional medical record personnel.
